maybe it’s just me, but I always find it strange that I can be sitting in silence for a long time before ever noticing the ticking of a clock, & when it finally becomes noticeable, it seems so loud that it’s hard to imagine it not being noticed before. it just makes me wonder the other things that go overlooked so easily.
